Electric Muscle Stimulator: Using an Electronic Muscle Stimulator or Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulator (TENS Machines) for Back Pain

Using an Electric Muscle Stimulator or (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulator TENS Machines) for Back Pain

TENS units (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulator) have been used by the medical and rehabilitation industries for years in treating patients for injuries, pain and rehabilitation, as well as improving circulation.  An electronic muscle stimulator (EMS) stimulates the muscles by transmitting electrical impulses to them.  Some claim that EMS exercises muscles, and some believe it can accelerate muscle growth.  An electric muscle stimulator (EMS) or transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulator (TENS) can be a valuable aid in rehabilitation.

In the past TENS machines (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulators) have only been available by prescription, but you can now get them without one.  TENS unit electrodes (pads with wires) are affixed to the skin over the area in pain. An electrical current is sent via the TENS electrodes to the nerves.  It blocks pain signals from the brain, allowing the muscles to relax which alleviates pain, and you can heal more quickly because of this.  TENS pain relief also encourages your body to produce natural pain killers called Endorphins or Encephalins (Enkephalin).

Many users experience pain reduction quickly, and it can last for several hours or more, depending on the severity of the injury or pain, whether acute or chronic (long-term), and the intensity of the therapy.  I’ve had my TENS device since a car accident in 1997 and it’s been a savior for me.  I still use it if I’ve tweaked or cramped a muscle and the pain won’t go away.  Some use EMS and TENS therapy to ‘exercise’ and tone muscles.

Does an Electronic Muscle Stimulator Work for Back Pain?

SinceMiniMasseusePro.com Buy Yours Today the Electronic Muscle Stimulator (EMS) gently stimulates the muscles using small electrical impulses that contract and relax the muscles in varying degrees and by various means (depending on the unit’s capabilities), yes it should.  It’s used as a form of “electrotherapy” as well as muscle training, and is used by a lot of sports trainers and athletes.  It’s used as a therapy for musculoskeletal injuries, while TENS machines use an electric current for pain therapy.  They’re both used and recommended by doctors and other medical practitioners, physical therapists, chiropractors and sports coaches.  They can be used to treat acute and chronic pain to:

  • Relax muscles reducing spasms and tightness
  • Increase blood circulation
  • Maintain or increase range of motion

Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulators – TENS Machines

Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulators (TENS machines) are used for spinal rehabilitation and pain management.  They’re portable with a small battery operated unit that can be clipped or worn on the body.  Frequency and intensity controls and settings are variable and can be adjusted to the amount of pain.

A number of reviews (meta-analyses) have confirmed its effectiveness for chronic musculoskeletal pain, osteoarthritis and post-operative pain.  They’re also used to alleviate neuropathic pain due to nerve damage.

*NOTE:  If you have a pacemaker, it’s indicated that you should not use either TENS EMS, because the electrical current may interfere with the pacemaker. They should be used with caution if you have epilepsy or are pregnant.

Ergonomic Kneel Chair

Kneelsit - The Chair for Life

If you haven’t heard of the ergonomic kneel chair “Kneelsit”, it’s an ergonomic balance chair that gives you relief from back pain as well as comfort.  It’s especially good for those of us that sit for long periods, causing poor posture, compressed discs and increased back pain.  Traditional chairs can make these problems worse.  The ergonomic knee chair combines balance, movement and a seat that slopes forward to help encourage better posture, increased circulation and nourishment to your spine.

In a standard chair all of the pressure of your body weight goes to your spine, and the longer you sit the more tired you get, and the more stress is caused on your spine; particularly your lower back and buttocks.  The ergonomic kneel chair is designed to help alleviate all of these things.

Ergonomic Knee Chair Quality and Origination

The Kneelsit ergonomic knee chair was designed by an individual experiencing a lot of back pain.  They say that they spent years researching, as well as studying anatomy, physiology, etc.  A number of studies and reports were done by various engineering, medical and ergonomic organizations and experts, including the National Occupational Health and Safety Commission, universities, rehabilitation and chiropractic centers.

The organization also provides information on medical & health issues related to back pain, and how this chair provides benefits & relief.  The ergonomic knee chair has a rust resistant steel frame with a smooth coating for durability and strength.  They say it’s been tested and approved for function and safety by various therapists, institutions and commissions.  It’s suppose to support a person weighing up to 407 pounds, and they say that each Kneelsit ergonomic knee chair is individually inspected.

Sit Kneel Chair Benefits

The kneel sit kneel chair is suppose to help balance and align your body from head to toe which relieves strain on your back and spine.  It has a forward sloping seat designed to help gentle natural movement with a patented swivel mechanism that’s suppose to provide benefits such as:

Kneelsit - The Chair for Life

  • Reduced lower back pain, spinal and disc problems, and improved posture with lumbar support
  • Relieving muscle, joint and tendon tension so they’re more relaxed
  • Reducing the chance of deteriorated or slipped discs
  • Nourishment of the spinal discs’ cells
  • Reduction of pressure on your diaphragm so you breathe easier
  • Improved motor skills, alertness and concentration by stimulating your inner ear’s balance mechanism

The kneel sit ergonomic computer chair is suppose to provide natural movement which increases blood flow (nourishment) to your spine, keeping it healthy.  This ergonomic knee chair is adjustable to provide a custom fit to your body.  The height and depth of the seat, back rest and shin rest are adjustable.

Possible Sit Kneel Chair Cons

If you have pre-existing conditions such as weak joints, knee or leg problems, or certain spinal problems, it may aggravate them, so I would suggest checking with your doctor.  Otherwise, if you’d like to get and maintain good spinal health while relieving your back pain, the ergonomic kneel chair is a great option in relieving your back pain cause.  To learn more, just click on one of the images in this post.

Bulging Disc Treatment: A Back Pain Machine for Spinal Stenosis Treatment and Herniated Disc Treatment

Saturday, January 16th, 2010

Bulging Disc Treatment

Bulging discs, spinal stenosis, lumbar herniated disc, cervical herniated disk, etc. are all caused by spinal weakening, disc degeneration, disc herniation or compression, and/or spinal cord and nerve damage, and age can be a contributing factor.  Our back has 33 bones or vertebrae including the neck (cervical).  The spinal discs are the shock absorbers for the spinal cord and nerves.  We also have muscles, ligaments, tendons and blood vessels in our back.  Muscles are our power, ligaments are the bands that connect bones, and tendons are muscles that connect to the bones and discs.  I’ll review what these are, how they work, and how a back pain machine might help as a bulging disc treatment, spinal stenosis treatment and herniated disc treatment.

A spinal disc may degenerate, bulge or herniate.  A spinal disc degeneration is a weakening of the disc, possibly due to age, but there’s no bulge.  A bulging disc is when the fibers weaken and stretch outward in the disc.  A herniated disc is a “leakage” of the materials in the disc.  Lower back pain is 10 to 15 times more common than neck pain.  When you’re 30 years old, your spinal discs may be drying out, as they’re 80% water.  In your 50’s, your discs can become dry and rigid with less cushion.  The fibers are extended and can weaken or tear, and the disc material can break through the outer wall, which is a disc herniation, affecting the nerve causing pain and numbness.  All of these issues including bulging disc treatment can be achieved by non invasive decompression of the spine with a back pain machine or spinal decompression machine (spinal inversion therapy, spinal decompression therapy).

Bulging Disc Treatment, Spinal Stenosis Treatment and Herniated Disc Treatment

Shop BetterHealthInnovations.com Today! To find the source of your back pain cause to determine the best bulging disc treatment, spinal stenosis treatment or herniated disc treatment, you and your doctor need to have a history of your problems. Your doctor will do a complete physical exam and possibly a neurological exam which may include a posture test, motor skills test, physical condition and movements that cause pain.  You can learn what muscles are stiff and if you have a spinal curvature from muscle spasms.  Some possible tests are the straight leg raise which could indicate disc problems, walk on toes or heels which may show motor skill problems, and possible neurological testing which are brain based treatments, because your cerebellulm controls balance, coordinated movement and your postural spinal muscles, which can be causes of muscle spasms or a lockup of the vertebrae, as your spinal discs only get nutrients through motion.  If it doesn’t move, it will herniate.

Cerebellum tests for back problems might include 1) standing with your eyes closed and arms out to the side – Do you sway?  2) Stand with your arms in front of you, eyes closed, and put your finger to your nose, 3) Put your head back, your index finger above your head and try to touch it with the finger from your other hand.  If you’re off balance or can’t connect, this can indicate a cerebral problem possibly causing your back pain problem, so a back pain machine can be a treatment for a bulging disc, herniated disc or spinal stenosis.

X-rays may help an MRI depending on your history and examination.

Back Pain Machine as a Bulging Disc Treatment, Herniated Disc Treatment and Spinal Stenosis Teatment

herniated disc treatment

A back pain machine or spinal decompression machine (inversion therapy) as a non surgical means of spinal decompression may help as a herniated disc treatment, bulging disc treatment or spinal stenosis treatment because it:

  • Separates the vertebrae, which brings the disc material back inside so there’s no bulge or disc herniation putting pressure on the spinal nerve
  • Provides slow stretching and traction that sends electrical impulses to the spinal cord and cerebellum to reduce back and neck pain
  • Relieves back pain and sciatic pain, and reverses negative effects on the body from gravity including circulation, height loss, body functions and prolapsed organs
  • Helps spine and joint flexibility, good posture, and hydrates the spinal discs
  • Helps maintain overall health, and hanging upsidedown helps stretch and relax muscles, reduce tension and stress, and ligament movement

Metabolism and diet can also cause cerebellum problems (nervous system) by inflaming and irritating the nerves.

Using a back pain machine for inversion therapy may be all you need as a spinal stenosis treatment, bulging disc treatment or herniated disc treatment.  Learn more about a back pain machine proven to relieve back pain, and how it can help you.  There’s currently a Sale with Free Shipping and a Best Price Guarantee.

Back Inversion Table Review: EZ Up Inversion System, Teeters Inversion Table and F9000 Inversion Table

Thursday, January 7th, 2010

Back Inversion Table Review

I’m going to provide an overview of the back inversion table with general information on how it works and some of the more popular back inversion tables.  I’ll include more specific information including back inversion tables reviews and ratings, the EZ Up Inversion System, Teeters Inversion Table and the F9000 Inversion Table (now known as the EP 950).

Most back inversion tables use the force of gravity to help stretch and traction your back to reduce back and neck pain, which is why it’s also known as an inversion stretch table.  It helps relieve stress, stretch and relax your entire body, and reduce sciatic discomfort.  A back inversion table is a simple and effective way to maintain joint and spine flexibility and good posture and hydrate the discs.  You can add strength training exercises as you gain experience without adding any load to the spine.  It can help stimulate circulation and get a mild and relaxing cardiovascular workout.  Hanging upside down for back pain relief, you can do gentle stretching exercises to help move the tissues and muscles in the lower back.  You can gently rotate side to side or slowly rock your pelvis forward and backward.

EZ Up Inversion System

ez up inversion systemThe Teeter Hang Ups EZ UP Inversion System gives you a full body stretch, and is also a great tool for inverted exercises like stretches, sit ups, crunches and squats.  Full range inverted sit ups provide minmal load on the back and are ten times tougher than horizontal situps.

The EZ Up inversion rack installs in a solid door frame and doesn’t interfere with door function.  It takes up no floor space, and includes the SL Spyder boots, EZ Up inversion rack, instructional video and book.  It’s used with gravity boots to invert fully at a ninety degree angle.  It has locking brackets for safety and dual bars for EZ mounting and EZ dismounting.  The Spyder gravity boots provide ankle conforming fit through two “fine tuning” buckles with micro adjusting ratchets to fit the exact size and angle of your ankle.

Teeters Inversion Table

Teeter is the most well known brand of inversion tables. The Teeters inversion table includes a variety of models, and their inversion table ratings get 4-5 stars out of 5 stars by consumers.  They’ve been on the market longer than any other inversion table, since 1980.  Roger Teeter is the founder and was a chronic back pain sufferer.  He was introduced to inversion therapy almost 30 years ago, and it was the only thing that gave him the relief he needed.  So he design his own version and the Teeter inversion tables were introduced.

The different models of the Teeters inversion table include the Teeter F5000 inversion table (now the EP500 inversion table) and F9000 Inversion Table (now the EP950 inversion table).

F9000 Inversion Table now known as the Teeter Hang Ups EP950

Teeters inversion tableThe Teeter Hang Ups F9000 inversion table was replaced by the EP 950 in 2008.  The F9000 inversion table provided relief to back pain for thousands, and was one of the favorites.  The Teeter EP950 improved the well tested design of the Teeter F9000, particularly with it’s new revolutionary Flex Technology bed.  This bed gives you a more comfortable inversion than the rigid back of the F9000 inversion table.

The Teeter Hang Ups website is very user friendly, and will help you determine what model would be best for your needs by answering a series of questions to find the best one.  If you’re plagued by back pain, stiff joints, or suffer from stress overload, the Teeters inversion table helps counter the effects of back stress and strain, pain and tightness, repetitive motion, and too much time spent standing, sitting, etc.

The back inversion table allows for full inversion and folds for easy storage.  The inversion stretch station includes:

  • a ratchet mechanism to fasten your feet
  • an injection molded flex technology bed
  • an adjustable head pillow
  • an adjustable foot platform for custom ankle comfort
  • corner feet for greater stability
  • an EZ Angle Tether Strap for pre-set angles
  • inversion table instructions / DVD with stretching and exercise classes for your back by Dr. Shawn

Posture Corrective Brace: How to Help Back Pain and Correct Posture with a Shoulder Posture Brace or Back Support Brace

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009

Posture Corrective Brace Benefits

Most of us know that our posture is key in maintaining a healthy back.  Bad posture can affect the nerves along your spine that coordinate the muscles of the body.  It can lead to back, shoulder and neck pain from strained spinal discs or muscle stress or strain.  Poor posture can lead to “rounded shoulders” and the “dowager’s hump”, and also affects your breathing.  The posture corrective brace was developed to correct posture and improve stature to eliminate hunching and slouching, and relieve back pain. Posture corrective braces are very popular because people realize how important correct posture is in their health, back support and pain relief.

Shoulder Posture Brace

Posture corrective braces come in different forms, depending on your back pain issue, wants and needs.  The purpose of the brace is to help you maintain healthy posture.  It helps support and engage the muscles in your back and shoulders, so your back is strengthened by the steady pressure.  The core muscles are strengthened, which helps correct slumped or hunched shoulders.  A shoulder posture brace is very effective in helping you keep your back in the correct position by improving proper posture.  It keeps your shoulders back as they should be to help keep your spine straight.  A posture corrective brace can be invaluable, especially if you suffer from back problems.  You want to make sure to get a shoulder posture brace that’s adjustable, including all straps and shoulder straps.  The shoulder straps should be padded for more comfort.  Good shoulder posture braces are easy to use and comfortable.  Once you’ve worn a shoulder posture brace for a while, you’ll naturally hold your body in the proper position, which will help alleviate your back pain as well as other health problems.

To get the most benefit and improvement in your back pain cause, you should combine using posture corrective braces with back and core strengthening exercises.

Find the Right Back Support Brace

back support brace

You need to know how to find the right back support brace.  Here are some tips to make sure you get the right one for you:

1. Determine why you need a back support brace, and make sure you find one that will help the section of your back that’s having issues.

2. Comfort and Movement.  Although you may have some discomfort initially because of the posture change, the brace shouldn’t be too tight or rub against the skin.  You should also be able to move fairly freely.  It should provide support while you’re sitting, standing, driving, at home, work or traveling.  Side supports, pulleys and air systems also help provide lateral and kidney support and cusion.  Make sure to get the right size.

3. It should have a good warranty, return or exchange policy if you don’t feel it’s the right one for you.

4. You won’t be able to wear all kinds of braces with any type of clothing, so keep this in mind when you’re looking for the right one for you.

Chronic back pain is much more difficult to treat, because it’s lasted more than six months, and usually leads to inactivity and dysfunction of the spine.  You should talk to your doctor about your specific back pain, and discuss what type of posture corrective brace would be the best for you.  A shoulder posture brace is very commonly used, but make sure the back support brace is effective for the type or location of your back pain, and the specific support and relief you’re looking for.

Back Pain Relief Products: Back Pain Products to Get Relief for Upper Back Muscle Pain, Lower Back Pain and Lower Back and Leg Pain

Back Pain Relief Products

There are a lot of back pain relief products available today, and you need to find the proper one to treat your upper back muscle pain or lower back pain.  I’ll list some causes of upper back pain and lower back pain, as well as some treatments.  You can then decide what the best back pain product may be for you to get the upper back pain relief or lower back pain remedy you need.

Upper Back Muscle Pain, Lower Back Pain and Lower Back and Leg Pain

Upper back muscle pain is usually a result of falls, sports injuries, car accidents, abuse and over-use.  The pain’s normally worse when you make certain movements or do certain activities.  A muscle spasm is fairly common with upper back injuries.  Stiffness and tightness is very common, and you may feel a ‘pull’ or ’stretch’ when you use those muscles.  This usually happens when you’re  stretching and reaching.

You can start to rehabilitate these muscles after a couple of days, but you need to take it slow and easy.  The moderate movement increases blood circulation, which speeds healing.

lower back and leg pain

Most lower back pain is triggered by a combination of overuse, injury, or muscle strain.  It’s believed that muscle strain can lead to an imbalance of the spine over time.  This can lead to continuous tension in your soft and hard tissues (muscles, ligaments, discs and bones), and can make your back more prone to injury or re-injury.  They tend to make each other worse, because you’ll compensate using another muscle when you hurt one, which will strain it.

Lower back and leg pain is most commonly sciatica back pain, which is usually a shooting pain from your lower back down your leg.  It can also be “referred back pain”, which is when your brain thinks the pain is in one place when it’s in another.  It could also be compressed nerve roots from the spinal cord to the leg which can be caused by a herniated disc.  This would have to be tested to see how affected the compressed nerves are.  Surgery could be required, but I always suggest treating it from the most conservative graduating to more radical treatment.

Another possibility could be tendon overuse.  This can be treated with rest and ice or gentle massage to find and help the source of the pain.  Chiropractic care is an option, and you could get muscle relaxers, but that takes longer to heal.  Sometimes it can be a neurological dysfunction causing neuropathic pain from the back to the leg.  If you have pain in both the back and leg, there are other possibilities which I won’t go into here.

back pain relief exercise

You want to be fairly certain of your back pain cause.  If you have any of these back pain symptoms:

Adrenal Fatigue Alert               Piriformis Syndrome
Arthritis of the Spine                Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction
Degenerative Disc Disease      Sciatica
Facet Joint Syndrome              Scoliosis
Fibromyalgia                            Somatic Pain in your back
Forward Head Posture            Spondylolisthesis
Herniated Disc                         Stenosis of the spine
Lower Back Pain                      Upper back pain
Neck Pain                                 Vertebral compression fracture
Pinched Nerve

I would suggest taking a look at the Lose the Back Pain System.  It uses muscle balance therapy which I talked about above, and shows you how to identify the cause, treat the dysfunction, then treat the overall condition.  It’s helped tens of thousands of chronic back pain sufferers, and offers a 60 Day Money Back Guarantee.  Right now they have a 21 Day Challenge where you only pay shipping ($9.95 I believe), and if you don’t lose your back pain, you don’t pay anything so there’s nothing to lose.  I stand by it, and have written about it before.  All you have to lose is the pain!  You can check it out here:  Back Pain Relief Products

BackJoy Portable Supportive Back Orthotic: BackJoy Reviews of the BackJoy Portable Supportive Back Device

Thursday, October 15th, 2009

BackJoy Portable Supportive Back Orthotic

This is a summary review of the BackJoy Portable Supportive Back Orthotic by BackJoy Orthotics LLC.  I’ll review some FAQs I’ve learned from other BackJoy Reviews, a comparison of the BackJoy Basic vs. BackJoy Core, how they work, etc.

BackJoy is a revolutionary portable supportive back device designed to stop back pain wherever and however you sit.  It’s suppose to be easy to use and comfortable.  I’ll review the BackJoy orthotics, improvements in the BackJoy Core vs the BackJoy Basic, some conditions it helps, endorsements and more.  Then you can decide whether it’s something you’d like to try.

BackJoy Reviews

You can read various BackJoy reviews at the BackJoy Reviews page.  Now to the BackJoy Orthotics, how they work, when you’ll feel results, conditions it will help, etc.

BackJoy Orthotics

The “Ortho” in Orthotics means “to straighten”.  Some conditions that benefit from orthotics are Scoliosis, spinal cord injury, Spina bifida, stroke and Cerebral Palsy.   If used correctly, orthoses reduce pain and stabilize unstable joints, which prevents further development or progression of the condition.

The BackJoy orthotic is a preventative maintenance device that helps you avoid repetitive stress injury caused by sitting for long periods, or to prevent prior back pain from reoccurring.

How Do BackJoy Orthotics Work?

backjoy orthotic

Simply, BackJoy Orthotics correct your sitting posture.  The back pain from sitting is from your buttocks flattening and spreading under your weight.  The BackJoy orthotic’s patented orthotic cradling system relieves this pressure and strain by changing the way you sit.  It’s designed to work for your unique back, and adapts to accommodate how you sit by:

‘Cradling’ your buttocks muscles so they don’t flatten and spread, ‘Tilting’ to correct your posture, and ‘Lifting’ your pelvis to relieve the pressure that causes pain

BackJoy Orthotics is currently the only system to do this, and has been approved by the FDA for this.

The BackJoy reduces pressures that contribute to a wide variety of chronic and acute back pain problems, including:

  • Low back pain
  • Herniated disks
  • Degenerative disk disease
  • Sciatica
  • Back injuries and more

A lot of people feel relief right away, but others need to use it regularly for weeks to feel its benefits.  It depends on your situation, conditions and history, and how often you use it.  You need to use it according to the directions to gain the most benefit more quickly whenever and wherever you sit.

However, it won’t work if:

  • You have trouble standing or walking for any length of time
  • If you have a form of muscular atrophy, or
  • Of you’re confined to a wheel chair

I encourage you to consult your doctor to ensure that it will help your specific conditions.

BackJoy Portable Supportive Back Device

Compare the BackJoy Core vs BackJoy Basic

The BackJoy Core is the result of 25 years of research, much more customer feedback, and many more clinical studies.  It’s more comfortable and effective, and the “pelvic tipping system” is the biggest improvement.  It helps you get more pelvic movement and engage your core more, which is very important.

BackJoy is Endorsed and Approved by the FDABackJoy reviews

The BackJoy seat is endorsed by the medical community, including medical and chiropractic doctors, osteopathic doctors, physical therapists, nurses and pharmacists.

Will It Fit Me, and Can I Use it Anywhere?

The BackJoy orthotic comes in one size, designed to be smaller than your buttocks, ‘cradling’ and cushioning your spine and the bones you sit on.  This is what makes it so comfortable.  It works most effectively for people between 90 and 300 pounds.

You can use the BackJoy portable supportive back on various seating surfaces at home, work, driving, commuting and traveling.  There’s more details on this at their website through any of these links.  It will keep its shape and flexibility, and is very durable, so you really can’t damage it.  You can roll it up or bend it to store in luggage or a briefcase, and your body warmth will return it to its original shape when you use it.

Would My Doctor Recommend the BackJoy Orthotic?

Yes, depending on your condition, your doctor can recommend the best sitting posture with the BackJoy to relieve the pressure and strain that causes your pain.  It can be included in your current back pain therapy program.

BackJoy’s satisfied over 200,000 customers worldwide in reducing or eliminating the causes of their back pain and body pain.

Hi everyone.  I’m going to briefly review the best priced Walk Fit shoe inserts including how Walk Fit Orthotics (aka Walk Fit Orthodics) work, why they work, and their benefits for body alignment to reduce pain from your feet to your neck including your lower back, pelvis and hips, knees, shins, ankles and feet.  Your feet really are your foundation, and orthotics stablize the way you walk and put your body back into alignment.

You have twenty six bones in your feet, and hundreds of muscles, tendons and ligaments, and they all have to work in unison.  With the Walk Fit orthotic shoe inserts, your feet align with the orthotic inserts which realigns your body from your ankles to your neck.  This helps prevent further pain and problems such as lower back pain, shin splints, leg cramps, achy feet, knees and hips.  I’ll outline the Walk Fit orthodics benefits below.

Walk Fit Orthodics

as seen on tv informercial

  • Medically and biomechanically engineered to get rid of the pain
  • Align your feet and ankles which straightens and realigns your shins, knees, hips and pelvis, back and neck
  • Their main focus is alignment, balance, stability and comfort
  • Better alignment prevents corns, calluses, bunions, ‘hammer toes’, heel spurs, shin splints, knee pain, hip pain and back pain
  • Provide excellent shock absorption
  • They’re customizable and work right away, but you need to follow their instructions
  • Customers say they feel like they’re “walking on air”, they don’t get tired as easily, and are more active
  • They include customizable arch inserts for low arch, medium arch or high arch so you can choose which is best for you

One customer said he had back pain for years, threw his back out and couldn’t straighten up.  He got the walkfit shoe inserts, didn’t have that problem again, and got them for all of his footwear.

The back tries to compensate for the poor body alignment, which is a major contributor to the causes of lower back pain and lower back muscle spasms.

                       phase 4 orthotics

One customer said they’d had degenerative arthritis and heel spurs, so were in a lot of pain and had to use a cane.  However, since she’s been using the Walk Fit Orthodics she hasn’t had to use the cane, hasn’t needed physical therapy, and hasn’t seen her back doctor.

You’ve probably seen the Walk Fit as seen on tv informercial by Phase 4 Orthotics.  Before they were released to the general public, a lot of professional athletes used the Walk Fit shoe inserts.  Customers say that they notice the difference right away and they have no more pain, but more energy because they don’t tire so easily.  Since these inserts realign and balance everything, they reduce the associated pain and increase the individual’s energy, mobility and activities.

Phase 4 Orthotics offers:

  • 100% 30 day Money Back Guarantee
  • Customizable arch inserts for the walk fit orthotics
  • Sandal adaptor
  • Peppermint lotion
  • How To guide
  • Joint Support Formula

They’re currently less than $20.00.  To learn more about the specially priced Walk Fit shoe inserts, Click Here

Get a Grip Review: An Honest Get a Grip Handle Review as Seen on TV Ads

Get a Grip Review

Hi everyone.  I’m going to give my review of the Get a Grip handle as seen on tv adsGet a Grip is from Telebrands, and is a popular product because it’s inexpensive, you can get a second one free, and reviews seem to be good.  However, I’ve done my own research high and low to see if it’s really as good as they say it is, what issues there may be, especially concerning safety for those needing assistance in the shower, bath, getting up from the toilet, a chair or bed, use in a vehicle, travel trailer, boat, etc.  So without further ado, here’s my Get a Grip review.

First, I’ll review the benefits and advantages you’re suppose to get with the Get a Grip product.  Then I’ll list any negative feedback I’ve read or heard in my research, and give my final opinion of it.

GetaGrip Pros

  • It’s lightweight, portable and easy to use on any level surface, so it can be used in various spots in the shower or tub, while traveling or pulling things, by your chair or bed, etc.  Some users have said they use it where they need it for support when cleaning their boats or rv’s
  • It’s inexpensive, and you can buy one and get one free paying only shipping of $7.99
  • From the reviews, customer feedback and other sources, it appears to be very sturdy, and doesn’t release with a lot of weight and force on it.  One customer said they’re 200 pounds and it doesn’t release with constant pulling
  • You don’t have to screw it in anywhere to attach it.  It affixes to any clean, smooth non-porous surface with the large suction cups using tabs to adhere it or release it
  • Some people apparently use it as a foot prop in the shower
  • A lot of people seem to purchase more once they’ve used them, so that says a lot
  • Instructions indicate not to place the suction cups on grout in a shower stall, but users have said it worked fine there, as well
  • They’ve shown it used to lift table tops from pedestals; glass or smooth table tops I would assume
  • It sounds like it would have a lot of handy uses (forgive the pun)
  • It has a 60 day Money Back Guarantee which you want

Get a Grip Handle Cons

Now to the disadvantages per se that I’ve found:

  • The surface does have to be clean and smooth, and although some have said it will affix to grout seams, etc., others have said if the full suction cup is not on a smooth surface such as a crack, etc., it will not stay affixed.  I’ve read that depending on the tub shape if may not affix.  It needs to be a level surface for the suction cups to adhere, and you want the full suction cups to attach.
  • You want to make sure the Get a Grip hardware will fit where you need it.  It’s 11 1/2″ long, and I read 4″ wide and 4″ high.  I couldn’t find the actual measurement of the suction cups themselves or inside measurement.
  • Although a lot say there hasn’t been a problem putting your full weight on it, the manufacturer says you should use it for balance, not particularly for putting your full weight on it,although a lot seem to without a problem.  I would suggest that you test it’s grip each time before putting a lot of weight on it just to be on the safe side.
