There are many types of back pain belts available to help relieve back pain.  I’m going to review a few of these here, including magnetic back support, using a TENS unit for back pain, pelvic support belts, back braces for back pain and pregnancy support belts.  Back pain belts provide relief by 1) providing stomach and/or back support and 2) providing pain relief using magnetic, electrical, heat, massage and other types of back pain therapy and support.

Some of these belts are “medical devices”, which means that they have been approved as a medical device by the FDA.  Your results will be determined by the type of back pain you have, so you need to research them some, and I would make sure that you can return it if it doesn’t help you.  You should always consult with your doctor about this.  They may have suggestions for specific back pain belts for your condition.

Magnetic Back Supports, TENS Units for Back Pain, Pelvic Support Belts, Back Braces for Back Pain and Maternity Support Belts

Magnetic back support therapy helps improve blood circulation and blood oxygen levels, which help natural healing.  It supports your back, and can help with back pain, lower back pain, sciatica, arthritis, rheumatism, herniated disc pain, and relieve muscle tension and fatigue.

Back braces for back pain were developed to help correct posture (I always emphasize this) and engage and support the muscles in your back so it’s strengthened.  There are also shoulder back braces available, which help hold your shoulders back and spine straight, also improving posture and aligning your spine.  Back braces help strengthen your core muscles (stomach), which helps support your spine.  They help “condition” you to have proper posture for your back.

Maternity support belts help reduce lower back pain, pressure on the bladder, varicosities and swelling, and improve circulation to the pelvic area.  They can help prevent or reduce pre-term contractions, and provide more comfort during exercise.  The type of maternity support belt you need depends on your specific need, to ‘lift’ your belly to relieve pressure, laxity, a pelvic wrap, over-the-shoulder support, etc.

All back pain belts should help provide proper support, treatment, posture and movement.  They’re one of many back pain relief products you can use to help relieve or eliminate your back pain cause, whether temporary or long-term (chronic) back pain.

Back Pain Products to Help Cure Back Pain

There are a lot of back pain products that help cure back pain symptoms, depending on your back pain causes and back pain relief you’re looking for.  There are back pain relief products that help back pain temporarily, back pain massage therapy, back pain magnetic therapy, TENS unit for back pain, back pain acupuncture treatment, inversion table therapy, or the most drastic- surgery for chronic back pain.  I’ll briefly review some of these back pain products and treatments you can do, symptoms they relieve, etc.

You need quality, reputable back pain products that will help reduce your back pain symptoms, whether temporarily or permanently, depending on the cause of your back pain.  Back pain causes can include pulled or strained muscles from lifting awkwardly, at a bad angle, a fall or car accident, fracture or trauma, lifting something too heavy or bulky, or turning at a bad angle.  If you have ongoing chronic back pain, you need to keep your doctor informed of what’s going on so they can diagnose the cause of your back pain and possible treatments.

Back Pain Relief Products that Help Cure Back Pain

Temporary back pain relief products include heat or ice therapy, non-steroidal anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs) and other over the counter or prescription back pain medicine, gentle stretching, some rest (but not too much), massage therapy, electronic therapy, magnetic therapy, inversion table therapy, etc.  Most back pain is associated with “muscle imbalance”, and you can remedy that by getting your back muscles back into balance.  Many of these therapies will help that.  The “Lose the Back Pain“ system (below) has been shown to be very good for correcting muscle imbalances and getting you “back on the right track” (forgive the pun

Back inversion table therapy can also be very good for re-aligning your spine, discs, etc., but you want to make sure your doctor feels this would benefit you and not cause more damage.  Electric muscle stimulators like the TENS unit (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulator) for back pain is also very good therapy.  I’ve had one since a car accident in ’97, and it’s been a life saver for me.  Stretches for back pain are ESSENTIAL, but you must be gentle and slow.  You should always stretch before physical exertion, sports, activities, etc. to reduce the possibility of causing more back pain or damage.  Back strengthening exercises are very good, because the stronger your back is, the less likely it is that you’ll damage it.  There are also back pain relief sprays, creams, etc. that can be helpful temporarily.

Trigger point therapy can be very good, orthopedic back support products like ergonomic chairs and ergonomic kneel chairs, orthopedic mattresses or memory foam mattresses, adjustable beds and lumbar support pillows are very helpful.  Proper standing, sitting and laying posture is critical in maintaining a healthy back.  I swear by my Tempurapedic mattress.  I couldn’t even get out of my bed before without rolling onto the floor first.  We noticed the difference immediately.  I think it’s the best mattress for back pain out there, but my son says that if the mattress has at least a 5% foam density, it’s fine.

There are also some quality joint support products available, as well as arthritis pain relievers, sciatica pain relief, back pain assistive devices, core strengthening supports and back braces for posture, orthopedic seat cushions, and posture corrective braces.  Body cleansing detoxification products can even help relieve back pain, because it removes waste and toxins that can put pressure on your back, and can reduce the pain.

Back pain relief books or ebooks (like Lose the Back Pain) are very helpful if they’re quality products.  Pads and shoes for orthotics and orthopedics are very good.  There are back support bras, back exercise equipment and back pain devices to assist you like the portable shower grip, etc., as well as natural back pain relief vitamins, herbs and nutritional supplements to help reduce and cure back pain including Glucosamine and Chondroitin.

Depending on the cause of your back pain and consulting with your doctor, many of these back pain products are helpful.  However, if you have chronic back pain and/or something more serious, surgery may be the only option– BUT, it should be the LAST OPTION.  Get second and third professional opinions, and make sure you eliminate all other possibilities before you go that route. Try some of these back pain relief products and treatments alone or in conjunction with others to see what will help cure your back pain.

The Minimum should be back stretching exercises and back strengthening exercises to strengthen your core (stomach, back), and watching your posture.  Don’t over-rest, because it can make your back pain symptoms worse, but don’t overdo it, either.  Use back pain medication, heat and ice therapy (one or alternate), massage, electronic and other therapies.  Seriously look into orthopedic back support products like the best mattress for back pain, back pain pillows, core strengthening supports and back braces for posture, orthopedic seat cushions, orthotics and orthopedic shoes, inserts, back pain assistive devices for the shower, car, etc.

Other back pain equipment and products include lumbar support pillows and other orthopedic back support products like adjustable beds and memory foam mattresses, as well as natural back pain relief herbs, nutritional supplements and vitamins.

In the past TENS machines (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulators) have only been available by prescription, but you can now get them without one.  TENS unit electrodes (pads with wires) are affixed to the skin over the area in pain. An electrical current is sent via the TENS electrodes to the nerves.  It blocks pain signals from the brain, allowing the muscles to relax which alleviates pain, and you can heal more quickly because of this.  TENS pain relief also encourages your body to produce natural pain killers called Endorphins or Encephalins (Enkephalin).

I’m going to provide an overview of the back inversion table with general information on how it works and some of the more popular back inversion tables.  I’ll include more specific information including back inversion tables reviews and ratings, the EZ Up Inversion System, Teeters Inversion Table and the F9000 Inversion Table (now known as the EP 950).
