Hi Lorraine. It's been quite a while since I responded to your comment on my blog about the Get a Grip handle I reviewed. I hope you were able to return it to the company for a refund. There are some mixed reviews, and there will be some of the items that are not manufactured correctly. But in researching it, I found mostly positive feedback. Please let me know how it turned out for you, and I'll get more feedback from others on it. Thank you. Julie

Hi Lorraine:

Thank you for your response on the Get a Grip. I understand your situation. My mother's 82 with a bad knee. Did any of you contact the company, because they may have been able to help, or you may have gotten a "dud". They'll also give you a refund or exchange.

I'm sorry to hear you've had such trouble with it. In my research, I found a Ton of great customer reviews, but as you said, the company says to re-attach it and test it before each use, which is the safe thing to do. Is the surface you tried to attach it to flat? Are there any seams, grout, etc. where you attached it? All of these things can make a difference. I think I put that in my review. I'm sure the surface also has to be Dry, and the surfaces it works on are porcelain, tile and fiberglass. Did the latches "snap" down firmly?

I'm very sorry to hear that you've had this problem, and I'm very empathetic toward seniors, budget, etc., as my mother lives on Social Security alone, and that's the last thing they need. I don't know how long you've had it, but I would contact the company and send it back for a refund if you don't want a replacement.

Please let me know if any of this information is helpful, or if you have any other questions. I appreciate your feedback very much, and want to thank you for contacting me. This is very important information. Please let me know what you do. I'm interested in the outcome.

Take care,

Julie
