Walkfit Orthotic Review: A Review of Walkfit Orthotics As Seen on TV Ads
Saturday, August 8th, 2009Walkfit Orthotic Review
This is a review of the Walkfit Orthotics by Phase 4 Orthotics as seen on tv ads. The Walkfit orthopedic arch support inserts for shoes are suppose to reduce back, hip, leg, knee and foot pain. They say this foot care orthotics product has helped over 90% of the people tested reduce pain in their feet and knees.
Your feet have 28 bones with joints between them, and muscles, tendons and ligaments connect them. When your foot’s functioning properly, it adapts to the different surfaces you’re walking or running on. But your feet also have to be rigid to balance and stabilize you to move you forward. When a strain, injury, or poor shoes affect your feet, the bones, joints, ligaments and tendons get off balance. This can cause you pain and induce problems in your back, knees and hips. If your feet don’t function like they should, it will throw the balance of your whole body off.
I’m going to review the perceived benefits of these foot care orthotics and give you an upfront Walkfit orthotic review so you can decide whether they might be the back pain remedy you’re looking for.

Orthotics are designed to restore natural foot function. Many of the biomechanical complaints from walking including heel pain, lower back pain and knee pain are caused by improper foot movement. Orthotics re-align your feet and ankle bones to a natural position to restore proper foot movement. This also helps alleviate problems in other parts of your body. Foot care orthotics like WalkFit® are suppose to distribute your weight more evenly over your feet, which takes pressure off of the sore spots by absorbing the shock. This reduces the effects of standing, walking and running.
The Walkfit Orthotics orthopedic arch support inserts are suppose to provide the following benefits:
- “dramatically prevent and reduce foot pain”
- strengthen your heels and ankles
- distribute your weight evenly over your feet, realigning your body to prevent back pain, and realigning your spine and pelvis to reduce lower back, hip and knee pain
- adjust the position of your feet to relieve foot pain, and balance and stabilize you
- protect your feet, spine and legs from the shocks of walking, running and playing sports
- some parts of the WalkFit® orthotics are suppose to act as a cushion when your foot hits the ground, and other parts are suppose to support your arches
- they’re customizable and have a heel cup to help prevent you from twisting your ankles
- they say that over 1.4 million customers have found that WalkFit® orthotics help reduce foot pain and make it easier to exercise, because your feet, arches and ankles are supported, which is suppose to reduce impact and pain in your feet, knees and back
- WalkFit® orthotics are designed by doctors to help support bones, muscles, tendons and ligaments, which reduces foot pain
- provide extra support and cushioning for the metatarsal bones (five foot bones) and all along the longest part of your feet
- you’re not suppose to need other built-in arch supports when using them
- provide complete foot support, comfort, mechanics and correct posture, and they conform to your feet
- full-length arch support to help prevent your feet from rolling in too much, preventing foot strain or injury and keeping your lower body in alignment
- 30 day 100% “love it or return it” money back guarantee and have a lifetime replacement warranty
- washable and odor free
- includes a joint support pain formula as a free bonus that’s suppose to be a natural pain reliever, lubricate joints and support health cartilage growth
- bonus kit includes three customizable arch inserts, a sandal adaptor, peppermit lotion and a how to guide

That’s a lot of promises, but in checking the Better Business Bureau’s site on Walkfit, there haven’t been any complaints filed in the last three years, so that’s a good thing. Customers rate them an average of 4 out of 5 stars. Now I’ll get to the ‘warnings’ and possible down sides of the Walkfit foot care orthotics:
- They say you should only wear them for one hour at first, because orthotics change the position of your feet. It may take some time before you’re comfortable wearing them all day. They say one hour the first day, two hours the second day, etc. If you’re not comfortable, remove them and try again the next day. If you feel pain when wearing them, you’re suppose to talk to your doctor.
- They say that it could take up to 2-3 weeks to adjust to the WalkFit® Orthotics. If you start out on Low or Med inserts, you may want to try Med or High after a few weeks to find the best fit for you. If they’re not comfortable after a few days, they recommend you go back to the Med or Low for more comfort.
- Don’t wear tight shoes when using them so you’re more comfortable
- They say that if you have chronic foot pain, joint, numbness or circulation problems, or are a diabetic, you’re suppose to check with your doctor before using them
I’ve had chronic lower back pain and foot pain for years, and they’ve helped me a lot. But, you do need to take your time so your body can adjust to them. I wouldn’t have anything else, but you have to consider your situation and foot or back pain issues, as well as the recommendations above.
